Airlangga Hartanto, as the Coordinating Minister in the Economic Sector, has promised the community to be able to resolve the lack of availability of cooking oil which is currently booming, especially in Lampung Province. Until now, many market operations have been carried out by the Government to reduce the impact on society.

"Earlier, there were shop traders inside who complained about the difficulty of getting bulk cooking oil supplies," said Airlangga in Bandarlampung on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Until now, the Coordinating Minister for the Economic has promised to find a solution for the community to respond to various kinds of complaints, especially when visiting the Kangkung Market, Bandarlampung City. He believes that the supply of cooking oil needs in the community can be maintained in availability and at a stable price.

"Today, there has been a market operation carried out by the Lampung Provincial Government, BUMN through Bulog and private companies. It is hoped that people can enjoy cooking oil at an affordable price, which is around IDR 14,000 per litre," he said.

The circulating cooking oil is suspected to be produced by PTPN with a brand name that has only appeared since 2021, namely the NUSAKITA brand. Until now, NUSAKITA cooking oil has been present among people experiencing difficulties in their needs. The availability of NUSAKITA cooking oil as a solution to the shortage of cooking oil. It is also the result of a collaboration between the Government and PTPN with NUSAKITA.

It is estimated that there is a supply of approximately 5,000 litres of cooking oil distributed from the Government to residents, especially Lampung Province, through market operations. The Government is also committed to keeping the supply and price stability of cooking oil on the market.

The PTPN subsidiary, NUSAKITA, has recently contributed to the availability of cheap cooking oil for market operations. It has also helped traders and MSMEs in various areas where NUSAKITA cooking oil has been distributed. It is hoped that stability and availability from NUSAKITA can be the best solution to deal with these steps in the future. It is also believed that in the future, it can advance and introduce closer to the public the NUSAKITA brand.
